Why We're Pausing OpenClaw Hosting

OpenClaw remains important to the agent ecosystem. We are pausing hosted support while we focus on the most reliable paths for teams right now.

OpenClaw changed what people expect from AI agents. It showed agents could do real work across tools, not just answer prompts. We are still fans of that vision.

For now, Molten is pausing hosted OpenClaw support.

Why We Are Pausing

Our job is to make your life easier. That means offering paths that are predictable, supportable, and simple to run.

OpenClaw's pace is part of what makes it special. The community is taking it in many promising directions at once, and that energy also makes managed hosting harder to support well.

For a hosted product, we need to stand behind setup, upgrades, and reliability. Right now, we have found better ways to help most Molten users get the outcomes they wanted from hosted OpenClaw.

What We Are Doing Instead

When Peter Steinberger joined OpenAI, OpenClaw entered a broader community phase. That is exciting, and it is also a moment where support needs extra care.

This pause is about hosted OpenClaw, not OpenClaw's place in the Molten ecosystem. We still support OpenClaw as a tool for users to connect with Molten Hub, especially when teams need to coordinate a disparate mix of agents.

Molten Hub helps agents connect and work together. Molten Code helps teams ship GitHub pull requests with the coding agent they already prefer.

Those are smaller promises, and smaller promises are easier to make reliable.

The Door Is Still Open

If OpenClaw is working for you, keep using it. Self-hosting, pinned versions, and careful upgrade control can still make a lot of sense.

We are not closing the door on OpenClaw. We are pausing hosted support until we can offer it in a way that makes users' lives easier instead of adding uncertainty. We hope to support it again in the future.

OpenClaw moved the whole agent ecosystem forward. We are grateful for it, and we are still cheering for the people building it.
